1. What NaijaHomes is
NaijaHomes is an online marketplace that connects people who want to buy, sell, rent or let property in Nigeria. We are not a seller, buyer, landlord, tenant or estate agent, and we are not a party to any deal between users. Every sale or rental agreement is between the buyer or tenant and the seller or landlord.
2. Your account
- You must give true information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for your password and for what happens under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to list property or to make a deal.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or puts other users at risk.
3. Listing a property
- You may only list a property that you own, or that the owner has given you written authority to sell or let.
- Everything in your listing, such as the price, location, size, photos, videos and description, must be true and not misleading.
- You must upload the documents we ask for. The documents depend on whether you are selling or renting and on the type of property.
- Our team reviews listings and documents by hand. We may approve, ask for changes, reject or remove a listing at our discretion.
- A “Verified” badge means our team checked the documents you gave us at that time. It is not a guarantee of ownership, price or condition, and it is not legal advice.
- If you sell or rent a property, you must update or remove the listing.
4. What you must not do
- Post fake, duplicate or misleading listings, or listings you have no right to make.
- Ask buyers or tenants for money for a property you do not control.
- Upload forged, altered or stolen documents or photos.
- Harass, threaten or cheat other users, or send spam.
- Try to break into the site, copy its data in bulk, or interfere with how it works.
If you do any of these, we may remove your content, suspend your account and, where the law requires, report it to the police or other authorities.
5. Chat and messages
You can message other users on NaijaHomes, including sending photos, videos, voice notes and files. Be respectful. Do not share anything illegal. We may review messages that are reported to us, and we may limit your messaging if you abuse it.
6. Plans and payments
Sellers can list for free up to the limit of the Free plan, or pay for a plan that allows more listings and extra tools. Prices are shown on the site and may change. Plans run for the period you pay for. When a plan ends, your account moves to the Free plan and only the number of listings the Free plan allows stay live. NaijaHomes does not collect payments for properties. You should never pay a seller through the site, and we are not responsible for payments you make outside it.
7. Our content and your content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos and text you upload. By uploading them, you allow NaijaHomes to show them on the site and in our promotion of it. You must have the right to share everything you upload. The NaijaHomes name, logo and design belong to us.
8. Limits of our responsibility
We work to keep the site safe and available, but we cannot promise that it will always work without errors or that every listing is accurate. To the extent the law allows, NaijaHomes is not responsible for losses that come from a deal between users, from information in a listing, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these Terms limits a right you have under Nigerian law that cannot be limited.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new Terms.
